Another day, another record for Chris Paul. After initially toppling Oscar Robertson in the all-time assists list just last month, the Point God was at it again on Monday as the Phoenix Suns floor general overtook the great Magic Johnson to claim the 5th spot with a total of 10,142 assists.

Now that's a lot of dimes (via NBA).

Take a bow, CP3.

Paul tallied 13 assists in their overtime win over the Milwaukee Bucks to eclipse Johnson. Time and time again, he has proven that he's one of the best point guards to ever play in the NBA.

After their impressive run in the NBA Bubble last season, the Suns have risen all the way to the second spot of the Western Conference with Paul's addition to the roster this season. It's safe to say that his arrival in the desert has been nothing short of spectacular for the squad. In his first year with the Suns, the 35-year-old has been averaging 8.7 assists per game, his best passing average since his first year with the Houston Rockets in 2017-18.

As he's done with his past teams, Paul has helped transform the young Suns into a legitimate contender and, at this rate, it won't be at all surprising if they go all the way to the NBA Finals with the 11-time All-Star leading the charge.

Chris Paul is just under 200 dishes away from moving past Mark Jackson's 10,334 assists. If the Suns continue their recent stretch and have a deep run in the NBA Playoffs, it won't be surprising if CP3 climbs another spot by the end of the season.
