The Phoenix Suns are facing elimination in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Milwaukee Bucks, but Chris Paul is not scared of the moment. In fact, he is embracing it fully.
After starting the series 2-0, the Suns found themselves in unfamiliar territory after the Bucks won three straight to set up the closeout game on Tuesday at home. Despite the pressure, however, CP3 is loving what he calls an “exciting” situation.
“It's definitely exciting,” Paul said, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “Something that Coach and everybody has been saying: If you went to the beginning of the season and said we had a chance to be where we are right now, would you take it? Absolutely. Absolutely. And we get a chance to determine the outcome.
“It's not like the game is going to be simulated or somebody else got to play. We get a chance. We control our own destiny. So I think that's the exciting part about it.”
For what it's worth, it is the first time the Suns will be in an elimination game in the 2021 playoffs. They lost just twice each to the Los Angeles Lakers (first round) and Los Angeles Clippers (Western Conference Finals), while they swept the Denver Nuggets in the second round.

With that said, it is unknown what kind of response we can expect from the Suns. After all, their lack of playoff experience has been one of the key concerns on the team heading to the postseason. Now that they are playing the biggest game of their lives, they need to prove they have that mental resilience and resolve to succeed.
Based on Chris Paul's comments, though, it sure looks like they are ready to go all out.
