The Phoenix Suns own the best record in the NBA this season, building off from their NBA Finals appearance just a few months back. They went from perennial cellar dweller to NBA contender in a short span of time, which lessens their shine compared to the similarly-ranked Golden State Warriors.

While they don't have the same championship pedigree as the Warriors, Devin Booker emphasizes that they have zero to prove as they chase for a title once again this season. The Suns are finding success on their own terms.

Via Zach Lowe of ESPN:

“We are not out to prove anything to anybody,” Booker says on the Suns' success. “We are winning, and we do it in a way that is sustainable. It might seem like we went from the bottom to the top quick, but I'm not surprised. A couple of players can change everything. This system and culture — it's fun to be part of it.”

The Suns added longtime veteran guard Jarrett Jack on their coaching staff, who dropped the harsh reality that many wrote off their Finals appearance as a fluke.

“We heard the noise,” Devin Booker, Phoenix's star guard, says. “But it was almost better hearing it from someone [Jack] who wasn't in our program last year. He confirmed it.”

The Suns aren't blocking out the haters. They simply don't care. Devin Booker and Co. are winning this season and will let their play do the talking.
