Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker is planning to honor his Hispanic heritage by wearing a “Los Suns” uniform during this season's 3-Point Contest, according to a report from Michael Lee of The Athletic.

Booker grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he lived with his Mexican-American and Puerto Rican mother. His father, Melvin Booker, was a well-known basketball player in his own right and later went on to pursue a career on the court internationally.

Devin has made a name for himself in the NBA, and he's become the face of the Phoenix Suns. Now in his fifth season of NBA service, the 23-year-old is averaging 26.4 points on 49.6 percent shooting from the field (35.8 percent from beyond the arc), 6.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds and just under one steal in 35.9 minutes per outing.

Devin will have some stiff competition at this year's competition, as Buddy Hield, Trae Young, Joe Harris, Duncan Robinson and Zach LaVine have all thrown their hats in as contestants. Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard was forced to pull out of the event after suffering a right groin strain on Wednesday night. Other contestants include Devonte' Graham and Davis Bertans.

The 2020 Mountain Dew 3-Point Contest will take place on Saturday, February 15. TNT will have live broadcast coverage.
