An electronic billboard of D'Angelo Russell to the Phoenix Suns has gone up in Phoenix.

The Suns have been looking for a starting-caliber point guard ever since they traded Eric Bledsoe to the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2017-18 season. Russell and Suns shooting guard Devin Booker are very close friends. There has been talk around the league Booker has been advocating Phoenix's front office to pursue Russell once free agency starts on June 30.

Russell becomes a restricted free agent this summer. However, if the Brooklyn Nets sign Kyrie Irving like everyone expects them to, the Nets could renounce Russell's free agent rights, making him an unrestricted free agent instead.

This past season with the Nets, Russell averaged 21.1 points, 3.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists while shooting 43.4 percent from the field, 36.9 percent from beyond the arc and 78.0 percent from the free-throw line. The talented lefty made his first All-Star team and guided the Nets to the playoffs for the first time since 2015.

Russell has also been linked to going back to the Los Angeles Lakers, who freed up a third max slot on Thursday after completing a trade with the Washington Wizards. It's evident Suns fans are hoping DLo comes to Phoenix.

We'll see what happens once the free agency frenzy starts this Sunday.
