The Eric Bledsoe saga has only been derivative from a very entertaining offseason of new faces in new places. His offseason request to be traded was only inflated by his controversial tweet that read “I Dont wanna be here.” the day after the Phoenix Suns sustained their second 40-plus-point loss, this time at the hands of the L.A. Clippers — game which would prove to be his last in a Suns uniform.

General manager Ryan McDonough claimed he did not buy Bledsoe's excuse, who said he tweeted that after being in a salon during Sunday afternoon — but was he right to make that assumption? Let's find out.

According to an investigation by Bleacher Report's Brandon Sneed, the Suns guard was indeed making up an excuse for his ill-advised tweet, as Sneed tracked down Bledsoe's barber, who knew just what his client was talking about.

“He was not here at the shop at that time,” Bledsoe's barber; a man who goes by Cartiye told Sneed, then laughed. “That excuse for that tweet was a crock.”

Cartiye said his people at the shop had a good laugh about it. “It was pretty funny for us, to be honest, later texting Bledsoe, saying, “Man, what made you say that?

The barber explained that the possibility of Bledsoe being at an actual salon was doubtful as well, as his wife had just finished hair school and was planning to start her own business — MORE by Morgan.

Asked for his real motives for the tweet, Cartiye came to the same conclusion that McDonough came to before sending Bledsoe home from practice on Monday.

“He's been wanting to get out of here for a while now,” Cartiye said. “He just hasn't been happy.”

McDonough recently blasted Bledsoe for his lack of leadership and questioned his surroundings, namely agent Rich Paul, who also represents stars like LeBron James and rookie Ben Simmons. The Suns GM said his phone has been ringing non-stop with inquiries for Bledsoe, and that he'd make his due diligence to get the best package possible in return for the estranged guard.
