The rematch between last year's finalists looked a bit different on Sunday night. Especially for the Phoenix Suns. Playing without stars Chris Paul and Devin Booker and the much-improved Cam Johnson, the Suns didn't have enough firepower to hold off the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Suns gave up 41 points in the final quarter, with the Bucks going on a 12-1 burst in the final three minutes to seal the victory, 132-122. But even with a depleted lineup, the Suns put up a valiant effort. Veteran forward Jae Crowder, however, wasn't in the mood for a moral victory, as he sounded off on the loss, per the report of ESPN.

“That was a big statement game for us. We really wanted to get that win. I'm really disappointed with how we finished the game.”

Crowder had 19 points, five rebounds, and seven assists and helped limit Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo to only 19 points on 13 attempts. The Suns, however, couldn't contain Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton, especially in the fourth quarter, as they scored 17 and 16 points, respectively.

The 31-year-old Crowder was extra emotional perhaps because he wanted to redeem himself after recently committing a costly blunder in their loss to the Utah Jazz. He put up a solid game against the Bucks, but they still fell short. The Suns have now dropped three of their last five games but still hold the best record in the NBA at 51-13.

The Suns will take the Orlando Magic on Tuesday.
