The Phoenix Suns lost their second straight game on Sunday, dropping to the Utah Jazz 118-114 at home. In the closing seconds with the Suns trailing by three points, Phoenix forward Jae Crowder grabbed a defensive rebound and began an attempted transition. Unfortunately, his outlet pass flew over Devin Booker's head, nearly landing in the second row of stands. After the game, Crowder took to social media to share his feelings with the fans.

Crowder posted on Twitter “That one is on me Valley… I will be better.”

It was an ugly finish to an otherwise solid performance from Crowder. He finished the game with 16 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals. He also went 4-8 from downtown, including the triple that cut the deficit from six to three with 30 seconds left. Yet, the only thing people will remember will be the end of the game.

The Suns are now 1-2 since news broke of Chris Paul's injury. Paul reportedly is dealing with a fractured thumb and could miss the remainder of the regular season. That's a tough blow to a team with championship aspirations.

Paul earned yet another All-Star bid this season. His efficiency and leadership appeared to be at an all-time high for the Suns. Phoenix still holds the best record in the NBA at 49-12. But if Phoenix continues to struggle without Paul in the lineup, it's not unforeseen that the Golden State Warriors could catch them for the home court advantage.

Entering Sunday, the Warriors were six games behind the Suns and are hosting the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
