One of the top picks in the 2017 NBA Draft may finally be hitting his stride at the midseason mark. Phoenix Suns rookie Josh Jackson joined Devin Booker, Walter Davis, and Alvan Adams as the only freshmen in franchise history to score at least 20 points in four straight games.

The milestone was announced through the official Twitter account of the Suns after Jackson scored a career-high 23 points on 10-of-14 shooting from the field in the 115-110 loss to the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday.

The 20-year old swingman from the University of Kansas was the fourth pick of last year’s draft but has struggled with inconsistency up until recently. After scoring 18 points in one game, he would go for only two points the next game.

With this recent development, Jackson may have found a rhythm that the Suns could capitalize on as he develops into the all-around player many had touted him to become after just a year of college basketball.

During his recent streak, Jackson had 20 points with eight rebounds in a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on January 29. Two nights later, he would record 21 and eight rebounds against the Dallas Mavericks in a win. Later, Jackson dropped 20 and 23 points to the Utah Jazz and Hornets, respectively, despite losing both games.

Jackson now has seven 20-point games under his belt with the potential to more than double that number halfway through the season.

After a rocky start to his professional career, the future looks brighter than ever for Jackson and the Suns.
