The Phoenix Suns have something the rest of the NBA doesn't — an in-arena sports betting partnership with FanDuel. This allows fans or guests who watch Suns games to enter their votes on the main level of the arena or through Jefferson Street.
This is certainly unique for an NBA team to have a partnership with. An advantage for bettors this season is at least the Suns are way better than they have been in years. For the first time in 10 years, the Suns are poised to make a playoff run this year, and who knows how far they can go? They certainly look like championship contenders as of this very moment.
The team has been led by veteran Chris Paul and rising superstar Devin Booker, one of the pillars of this Suns lineup. Booker, who made his second All-Star game appearance this season, has been producing 25.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists. Meanwhile Pau, who seems to bring a winning culture wherever he goes, has been putting up 15.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game.
This has been a relatively satisfying year for Suns fans given what they have been through over the past 10 years.
The team has been fun to bet on especially since they can be considered favorites in almost every game they play. They play scrappy and have bucket getters in the team specifically Booker, Jae Crowder and of course the inside presence of Deandre Ayton. Their recent win against the Utah Jazz was indeed a statement victory. The Suns defeated the best team in the league this season last April 8.
With fewer than 20 games left in the season, the Suns can still overtake the Jazz and secure the first seed in the Western Conference. They’ll be going up against the Sacramento Kings, San Antonio Spurs and Milwaukee Bucks in the coming days.
