The Phoenix Suns social media team displayed good sportsmanship on Thursday after the Portland Trail Blazers officially eliminated the Suns from playoff contention.

Powered by another herculean effort from superstar Damian Lillard, the red-hot Blazers escaped with a thrilling 134-133 victory over the Brooklyn Nets inside the AdventHealth Arena. The win improved Portland’s record to 34-39 and guaranteed them a play-in against the 8th seeded Memphis Grizzlies squad.

Despite being knocked off by the Blazers, the Suns showed great class by congratulating their Western Conference rivals on Twitter.

Damian Lillard erupted for 42 points, 12 assists, and three rebounds for the Blazers, capping off a magnificent three-game stretch where he scored a ridiculous total of 154 points.

This, of course, completely erased the Suns’ pristine run inside the bubble at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Phoenix was the only NBA team to remain unbeaten after the restart, winning all their eight games.

Despite figuring in a three-way tie with Grizzlies and the Blazers in the standings, the Suns were the odd team out following the league's new rules inside the bubble.

The Suns kept their playoff hopes alive earlier in the day, dispatching the Dallas Mavericks, 128-102.

Suns All-Star Devin Booker continued his phenomenal outing in Orlando, finishing with 27 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. He publicly aired his support for the Nets after the game, since a Portland loss would have clinched a play-in spot for the Suns.

Damian Lillard and the rest of the Blazers, of course, had other plans.

The Suns, social media team, meanwhile, has been on fire as of late after reminding everyone of their undefeated run since the restart. They wonderfully trolled the Los Angeles Clippers last week, after Booker drained a game-winner against them.
