Phoenix Suns starting point guard Ricky Rubio should be back in the lineup on Wednesday against the Washington Wizards.

Rubio has missed the last three games due to a back injury.

“It's been painful to watch, but I’m back,” Rubio said, via the Arizona Republic. “I feel good. I want to rush it when I didn't have to, and it really took a little longer than I expected, but that's what happens sometimes. I think I'm back, I'm good, I'm healthy and wanted to make sure I was good.”

In his first season with the Suns, Rubio is averaging 12.5 points, 5.8 rebounds and 8.1 assists per game. He’s shooting 38.5 percent from the field, 34.3 percent from beyond the arc and 86.1 percent from the free-throw line.

The Suns are 8-8 on the season, which is good for eighth place in the Western Conference standings.  They haven’t made the playoffs since 2010, but head coach Monty Williams has done a good job with the team thus far.

Phoenix is coming off a loss to the Denver Nuggets on the road. They will look to get back in the win column on Wednesday against a Wizards team which is 5-9 entering Tuesday. Having Rubio in the lineup will increase the Suns' chances of defeating Washington.
