As the Phoenix Suns continue to search for someone they can bring on in a front-office capacity, the team is apparently getting help from a very unlikely source.

According to a story from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Suns owner Robert Sarver is zeroing in on former Detroit and New Orleans general manager Jeff Bower to assume a high-ranking front-office role on the team in an effort to help interim GM James Jones.

However, the real interesting detail is the fact that, according to Wojnarowski, Sarver apparently had Arizona Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald sitting in on interviews:

Sarver has discussed with prospective job candidates a senior advising role that will allow interim GM James Jones to continue in a lead front-office capacity with decision-making power, league sources said. Jones had sat in on interviews, along with Arizona Cardinals All-Pro receiver Larry Fitzgerald, league sources said.

Normally, the potential hiring of Bower wouldn’t be too crazy, but the fact that Fitzgerald was apparently a part of the talks with other front-office members is an odd one. This just continues the trend of the Phoenix Suns practicing odd concepts, and it looks like Sarver doesn’t plan on stopping his unorthodox ways of running the team anytime soon.
