The Phoenix Suns are one of the worst teams in the NBA. However, there is a weird air about the entire team. Unlike most of the NBA's bottom feeders, the Suns' front office have shown that the team has no clear direction for the future. Devin Booker is the franchise's star, but he is only 21 years old and is tasked to shoulder all of the load for the team. Most of the team is also filled with young players and rookies such as Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender, and Josh Jackson.

Obviously, the Suns are a long way from contending again and apparently, there is in-fighting with the team. On Saturday, ESPN's Chris Haynes announced that the Suns plan on suspending Chriss for a game for his verbal confrontation with an assistant coach.

Phoenix Suns plan to suspend forward Marquese Chriss for a game stemming from a verbal confrontation with an assistant coach, league sources tell ESPN.

Confrontations like this are a common thing behind the scenes in the NBA. Players and coaches sometimes don't see eye to eye, so verbal altercations are often necessary to clear the air and establish common ground. Though, it appears that Chriss took things too far, and the Suns want to teach him that abrasive behavior won't be tolerated.

Although this can be a distraction for the team, Chriss is only 20 years old. He still has some learning and developing to do to become a franchise player for the Suns. With a team full of young players, this behavior happens often. Hopefully, Chriss and the Suns can come together and move on after the suspension.
