Kevin Durant just can't catch a break with Team USA in their pre-Olympics preparation. Whether it's due to some rustiness or just the elevated play of their opponents, the Brooklyn Nets star keeps getting embarrassed.

For the second straight game, Durant was blocked big time in an exhibition showdown. This time it came from Philadelphia  76ers defensive stalwart Matisse Thybulle, who denied KD in the fourth quarter of a tight contest.

Adding insult to injury, Team USA lost the game 91-83, making them winless in two practice games against their fellow national and Olympic teams.

As mentioned, it is the second game in a row Kevin Durant has been absolutely demolished defensively. During their first pre-Olympic game against Nigeria, Miami Heat rookie Precious Achiuwa stopped an in-flight KD from throwing down what would have been a thunderous dunk. Instead, what the rest of the world witnesses was the Nets star falling in disappointment.

Sure enough, it has not been a great past couple of days for Durant and Team USA. Hopefully though, when the games matter most, Durant will no longer be blocked often and that Team USA will be able to win games. After all, anything but gold is considered a failure for the best basketball team in the world.
