We have officially reached the NBA All-Star break. Teams now have eight days to rest and recuperate before the playoff push begins. One team that will surely be making the most of this time is the Philadelphia 76ers.

Following a blockbuster swap of All-Stars, the Sixers find themselves in a prime position to compete this season. The acquisition of James Harden has given the roster a legitimate second option alongside MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid. Unfortunately, due to a hamstring injury, Harden's debut for Philly was pushed until after the break.

Now that Daryl Morey has paired a former MVP with Embiid, expectations have gone through the roof for the Sixers. In an Eastern Conference that many consider wide open, anything less than a Conference Finals appearance would be a failure in some eyes.

With the bar getting raised for the Sixers, more is going to be asked of players on a nightly basis. That being said, here is the one Sixer with the most to prove as the postseason rapidly approaches.

Sixers player with most to prove after 2022 NBA All-Star break

This answer might be shocking to some, but it's Tobias Harris. While he has returned close to his level of production from last season, his up-and-down start to the year can't be overlooked. Also, there is a strong chance he becomes the deciding factor in the Sixers making a deep run in the postseason.

Everyone knows Harden and Embiid are going to get their numbers as they are premiere talents in the league. The deciding factor will be if Harris can outplay the opposing team's third option in a playoff series.

Out of anyone on the roster, Harris benefits the most from the addition of Harden. He has shown in the past he can be a good sidekick to Embiid on some nights, but in reality, he is best maximized as the third option. Playing alongside the pair of high-level talents should open up a lot for him.

If the Sixers want to make a Finals run, they will need Harris to perform well. Opposing defenses will likely be putting all their attention on Harden and Embiid, leaving him the opportunity to attack mismatches.

Playing alongside an elite facilitator again should make the game simpler for Harris, at least as long as he sticks to making quick decisions. The two biggest areas that stand out are transition baskets and catch-and-shoot threes.

Depending on how things play out in the postseason, there could be a difficult conversation to be had regarding Harris. As we know, he is currently the highest-paid player on the Sixers. If he cannot be a complementary piece to the team's new superstar duo, it could lead to his tenure in Philadelphia coming to an end.

There are undoubtedly multiple players on the Sixers with a lot to prove in the coming months, but Harris easily sits atop the list.
