The Los Angeles Lakers add another big man to training camp.

Former lottery pick Thomas Robinson has been signed by the young Pacific Division team, per team report.

According to Eric Pincus of Basketball Insiders, Robinson’s deal is not guaranteed.

Curiously enough, Robinson had a guaranteed offer from a Nets team which had him break out towards the end of last season. Looks like his bet on himself did not pan out ideally at this point, but all is not lost on this risk. He could still make the roster and carve a niche for himself.

Last year, the former fifth overall pick by the Sacramento Kings had a sterling end to his season as the Nets gave him many opportunities due to injures that hounded the team.

In April, Robinson averaged 13.2 points, 11.4 rebounds, and 1.2 steals while shooting 53% from the field. The Lakers will be his sixth team in five seasons.
