Routinely viewed as one of the best general managers in the league, Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti does exhaustive research on all aspects of the team and fully dedicates himself to the job. But Presti's hard work has paid off as the Thunder have been one of the better teams in the league for the last several seasons and that's mainly due to how he built the team.

Thunder coach Billy Donovan provided a glimpse of Presti's intense work ethic and intense preparation in a Sports Illustrated profile on the Oklahoma City general manager by Lee Jenkins. As Donovan details, Presti interviewed him for 10 hours before giving him the job to coach the Thunder:

“You know how long my interview was for this job?” asks second-year coach Billy Donovan. “Ten hours. Sam is going to turn over every rock, flip it around and study it from every angle. You take comfort in that level of preparation.”

Ten hours is an awful long time to interview someone but based on the Thunder's success, there clearly is a method to Presti's madness and thoroughness.
