Carmelo Anthony is no stranger to being in a situation with a lot of eyes set on him. That is the case once again now that he is with the Oklahoma City Thunder, as their “Big 3,” together with Russell Westbrook and Paul George, are expected to contend for the title. However, things have not gone according to plan for them so far this season as they have struggled to string some wins together, and only have an 8-11 record to show.

When asked if he's ever been with a team that has not lived up to expectations, Anthony had an epic response, which brought a lot of laughs from the reporters surrounding him. He reminded them of what happened to him with the New York Knicks, but was also quick to admit that he did not have the same amount of talent with him that time, unlike what he has now with the Thunder.

The Knicks failed to make the playoffs the past four years, and the 10-time All-Star has long been part of a lot of trade chatter. He was eventually dealt during the offseason, and now has a fresh start with the Thunder, and arguably his best chance of winning a championship.

With his comments, Anthony remains optimistic that his team will be able to get their act together soon, and understands that even one road win could be the spark they need to have a winning streak going. After their road game on Tuesday versus the Orlando Magic, they will have their next three outings at home, which gives them a good opportunity to start turning their fortunes around.
