Chet Holmgren has made quite an impression so far in the NBA Summer League. The Oklahoma City Thunder's No. 2 overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft has been one of the most-watched players in the Summer League, and he's pretty much lived up to the lofty expectations most folks have had on him since Day 1.

One of the biggest criticisms Holmgren has faced, however, is his apparent lack of physicality. It's no secret that the 20-year-old could put on some muscle as he looks to get his body ready for the physical nature of the NBA. Holmgren currently stands at 7-feet, but at under 200 lbs, there's obviously a lot of room for improvement for the former Gonzaga standout in terms of his built.

In this respect, it comes as no surprise that Holmgren's physicality has been put to the test early on in his NBA career. Opposing teams have been targetting this particular aspect of his game. When asked if he's noticed how teams have been trying to get more physical with him, Holmgren acknowledged the attempts:

“That's been most teams' gameplan for a while now,” Holmgren responded, via ClutchPoints on Twitter.

Holmgren was then asked if he feels he's going to be ready for this once the NBA season starts in a few months' time. The Thunder stud simply said that he's currently “working on it.”

There is no doubt that Chet Holmgren is an extremely talented individual, and that he has a lot of untapped potential within him. However, there's also no denying that he will need to put on some mass if he wants to succeed in the NBA.
