The NBA's Christmas Day schedule has unofficially made the rounds online. First matchups announced were the New York Knicks vs. Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics vs. Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers vs. Golden State Warriors, and Utah Jazz vs. Portland Trail Blazers.

For a while, it seemed like the Oklahoma City Thunder would not occupy the final slot, putting their nine-year run of being busy on Dec. 25 in danger of being snapped. But a report from ESPN's Tim MacMahon revealed that the Thunder will be visiting the Carmelo Anthony-bolstered Houston Rockets.

Some could argue that a matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Toronto Raptors would have been more intriguing due to the Kawhi Leonard, DeMar DeRozan, and Masai Ujiri angles, but perhaps the league office deemed the star power that a Thunder-Rockets game would feature was too good to pass up.

Russell Westbrook, Paul George, James Harden, Chris Paul, and Anthony are some of the biggest names in the NBA today. Fireworks will be expected out of that game with the way these two teams play.

Oklahoma City and Houston, as currently assembled, are expected to be among the top teams in a loaded Western Conference, making this matchup quite the treat for everyone on Christmas Day.
