Although the next NBA offseason is still a year away, Oklahoma City Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari is already thinking about his future.

Gallinari was traded by the Los Angeles Clippers to OKC last month, and if the Thunder can't build a championship-contending team anytime soon, he's not expected to remain there. Gallo will be a free agent at the end of next season

In an interview with Sportando.com, Gallo said he plans to play for a championship team next season, adding that money will no longer play a huge factor in his decision.

“Next summer, when I will become free agent, I will privilege a team that can fight for the NBA Finals. I won’t chase money, but the chance to play for the title. NBA taught me to be a more selfish player on the court but I have not really succeeded yet.”

Gallinari, an 11-year veteran, averaged a career-best 19.1 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Clippers last season. His 46 percent shooting from the floor was also a career-high. If he can continue to play this well with the Thunder, expect a lot of teams to go after him next summer.

Gallo is at the stage of his career where he wants to win. He has been one of the most underrated stretch forwards in the NBA over the past couple of years, and he's likely done chasing personal accolades. Next season is going to be crucial for him, as it will be all about him proving to the rest of the league, especially the best teams, that he can help them win a title or two in the future.
