The Oklahoma City Thunder had fun during the 2022 NBA Draft. Maybe they had too much fun since they drafted both Jalen Williams and Jaylin Williams.

Take note that those are two different players. They just have the almost exact same name, and they are now on the exact same team.

Maybe the Thunder couldn't decide between the two and just picked both of them? Maybe they forgot that they already picked one, and since they have practically the same name, the Thunder picked the other one, too?

Or maybe their analytics guys said drafting more than one Jalen/Jaylin would also double their chances of winning?

The Thunder took Jalen Williams of Santa Clara with the No. 12 pick in the first round. They then took Jaylin Williams of Arkansas with the No. 34 overall pick.

This is the first time both Jalen and Jaylin will be teammates, though they did bump into each other a lot during the NBA Draft Combine last month.

Jalen Williams is a 6'6 forward who has drawn comparisons to Memphis Grizzlies guard Dillon Brooks. He is crafty and smart, but he also needs to bulk up and improve his footwork.

Jaylin Williams, meanwhile, is of Vietnamese descent. He stands 6'9 and has drawn comparisons to Bobby Portis. He's known as a big man passer who does the dirty work like taking charges and chasing loose balls.

In reality, though, the Thunder now have three guys with nearly the exact same first name. Don't forget that they also have French forward Jaylen Hoard.

So whoever is doing announcer duties at the Paycom Center would need to be extra creative, especially if Jaylen Hoard, Jalen Williams, and Jaylin Williams are all on the floor at the same time.
