Nick Collison is not particularly impressed with the Oklahoma City Thunder offense. The veteran big man offered his evaluation of his team’s attack, saying they should be much tougher to guard than they should be and that it’s their own fault.

Per Erik Horne of The Oklahoman:

More Collison on Thunder offense: “We’re not as difficult to guard as we should be. We’re not moving the ball, ourselves enough. At times we’ve gotten really good possessions attacking the basket, moving the ball, attacking it again. But we don’t do it for long enough stretches.”

Collison’s critique is certainly warranted. Despite the addition of Paul George and Carmelo Anthony alongside reigning NBA MVP Russell Westbrook, the Thunder are currently a disappointing 22nd in terms of offensive efficiency.

Those sorts of issues were likely expected as the three superstars learned to play together. However, the lack of ball movement has been an ongoing issue at Oklahoma City for many years now, and it remains to be seen whether they can finally fix it this season.

Whether it’s by more ball movement or some other adjustment, though, the Thunder will need to find a solution to their faltering offense if they want to be considered serious title contenders.
