On Friday night, Paul George torched the Utah Jazz en route to a 45-point masterpiece. The following night, the Oklahoma City Thunder star put up just 14 points on 4-of-19 shooting.

George also played a grueling 50 minutes the night prior to lead the Thunder to a 148-147 win over the Jazz. However, he isn't about to let that be an excuse for his tough shooting night in their 119-116 home loss against the Sacramento Kings.

Last night was a special night for George. He nailed a tough go-ahead floater in the lane with less than a second left to secure the win for Oklahoma City. He even put down an insane windmill transition slam in overtime with the Thunder down by two to show the Jazz that his legs were feeling fresh.

However, those same legs didn't look as fresh Saturday night as he struggled with his shot throughout the game. And unlike the previous night, the six-time All-Star wasn't able to save the Thunder against the surging Kings, who were led by Buddy Hield's team-high 34 points. PG13 missed a potential game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer that would have given them their second overtime game in as many nights.

Still, George played 38 minutes against the Kings and the Thunder gave a valiant effort to come back from the contest after falling by as much as 16 points in the third quarter.

Thunder superstar point guard Russell Westbrook had his second straight 40-point outing as he led the fourth quarter charge for Oklahoma City. He followed up his 43-point outing the night prior against Utah with a game-high 41 points. He tied the game 116-apiece with just over a minute left. But The Thunder failed to score in that final minute.

The Kings, on the other hand, converted on their free-throws to seal the deal. This was a much-needed road win and morale booster for the up-start Kings after experiencing a couple of heartbreaks in their past few outings.
