The circus of Oklahoma City Thunder star forward Paul George's return to face his former team in the Indiana Pacers is now over. It's time to move on in search of starting a winning streak tonight when the Thunder visit the Philadelphia 76ers at Wells Fargo Center.

George and the Thunder (13-14) pulled off an impressive 100-95 victory Wednesday night on the road over the Pacers, but now they're set to take on star center Joel Embiid and the rest of The Process on Friday night.

In a tweet posted this morning by Thunder beat writer Fred Katz of the Norman Transcript, George assured that he was aware that the Sixers are an entirely different beast this season compared to recent years.

“What we gotta be mindful of is this is not Philly of the past,” George said. “This is Philly that’s ready to take that next step.”

That's certainly true, as Sixers rookie sensation Ben Simmons has taken the league by storm this year with 15.5 points, 8.9 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 2.0 steals per game. In his first 26 starts for Philadelphia, Simmons has already racked up 15 double-doubles as well as three triple-doubles.

The Sixers (14-13) have not played since Tuesday night when they snapped a four-game losing streak with a 118-112 overtime victory on the road over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
