The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Holy Trinity of superstars is a go for tonight’s marquee matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers at Chesapeake Energy Arena. According to Royce Young of ESPN, Carmelo Anthony and reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook both have been greenlighted to play against the defending Eastern Conference champions after both missed the Thunder’s past two games versus the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers, respectively.

This is obviously terrific news for the Thunder, who are coming off a walk-in-the-park 110-92 win over the Grizzlies on Sunday. Anthony and Westbrook have spent the last two games on the sidelines because of ankle issues, but now that they are back, Oklahoma City will be in full force when it takes on the new-look Cavaliers.

The Thunder dealt Cleveland one of its worst loss of the season thus far. During a Jan. 20 road game at The Quicken Loans Arena, the Thunder absolutely annihilated the Cavaliers in a 148-124 win. Paul George paced Oklahoma City with 36 points, Anthony finished the contest with 29 points and 10 rebounds, while Westbrook had a near triple-double of 23 points, 20 assists, and nine rebounds. As a team, the Thunder shot 58 percent from the field, highlighting both their offensive prowess and the Cavaliers’ listless effort on defense.

On the season, Carmelo Anthony is averaging 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and is shooting 41.2 percent from the field. Russell Westbrook, meanwhile, is putting up 25.5 points, 10.5 assists, and 9.3 rebounds per contest.

Oklahoma City, which is only 2-4 in its last six games,  has won its last two meetings with the Cavaliers.
