The Washington Wizards finally broke a decade-long ineptitude in Oklahoma City, when they beat the Thunder 116-98 for their first ever victory in that arena. Despite the loss, Thunder star Russell Westbrook was still cheerful as he answered questions during the postgame interviews.

Westbrook finished with another triple-double, as he had 22 points (9-of-23 shooting), 15 rebounds, and 13 assists. Paul George added 20 points and five boards while Jerami Grant had 17 markers for the Thunder, who are now third in the Western Conference standings despite starting the season 0-4.

The Wizards were led by Bradley Beal, who had 25 points, five rebounds, and six assists. Otto Porter Jr. added 20 points, six rebounds, and five dimes.

Washington has been trying to get a win in Oklahoma City since the Thunder moved there in 2008. They've had multiple overtime and double overtime losses there in the past, but that was as close as they could get until the blowout victory last night.

But even before the Thunder officially made Chesapeake Energy Arena their home floor, the Wizards have already played there twice against the then-New Orleans-Oklahoma City Hornets, who had to temporary play there because of Hurricane Katrina. Washington lost both games in 2006 and 2007.

Now the only team that has yet to beat OKC in their home floor is the Philadelphia 76ers, who will get their 10th chance to do so when they visit the Thunder on February 28.
