Video: Paul George silences Pacers crowd after crucial free throws
When looking at the box score, one may not be impressed whatsoever by Oklahoma City Thunder star forward Paul George’s numbers on Wednesday night against his former team, the Indiana Pacers. However, George was able to come up clutch and seal the 100-95 win at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
In a video posted on Instagram by House of Highlights, George hit two free throws to put the game on ice. With a shower of boos raining down upon him, George calmly hit the second of two free throws before he promptly put his right index finger to his lips. PG13 wants you to now be silent, Pacers fans.
George did not have a very good night from the floor, as he only had 12 points on just 3-of-14 shooting and four turnovers. However, the four-time NBA All-Star did have five assists, three steals and two rebounds against his former team.
Thunder center Steven Adams led all scorers on the night en route to a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds. Superstar point guard Russell Westbrook, who finished with 10 just points, recorded his ninth triple-double of the season by adding 17 rebounds and 12 assists.
Up next, the Thunder (13-14) will try to get a winning streak going on Friday night when they travel to take on the Philadelphia 76ers (14-13) in an ESPN primetime contest at Wells Fargo Center.
