For superstar point guard Russell Westbrook and the 2017-18 Oklahoma City Thunder, the season continues to be a rollercoaster of production with its highs and lows. However, in Monday night's game against the visiting Charlotte Hornets, Westbrook seemed to take out a lot of his frustration on the rim as well as small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's head with a thunderous one-handed posterization.

Take a look:

Unfortunately for Westbrook and the Thunder, this ended up being yet another one of those frustrating nights as they fell to 12-14 on the year. The Hornets were a dismal 1-10 on the road entering Monday night's game at Chesapeake Energy Arena. Surprisingly, Charlotte managed to go on a 13-0 run after Westbrook's dunk and held on to beat Oklahoma City, 116-103.

Westbrook led all scorers on the night with 30 points, seven assists, four rebounds and three steals but it clearly wasn't enough to get the job done.

Kidd-Gilchrist, who finished a nearly-perfect 8-of-9 shooting from the field on the night in 34 minutes of action, ended up getting the last laugh en route to 17 points, four rebounds, four assists and four steals. The Hornets improved to 10-16 on the year and halted a three-game losing streak in the process.
