The Oklahoma City Thunder used an off day as a team to visit the Oklahoma City Zoo. The day started with Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony and Raymond Felton trying their hand as sea lion trainers.

The show was stolen though, by one of the Thunder's most interesting characters Steven Adams who has always enjoyed his time at zoo, and today was no different.

The day started with Adams being named an ambassador to the zoo.

He then went out to have a tour with the animals and he looked to be right in his natural habitat even reconnecting with his girlfriend.

After the tour he talked with the assembled media and talked about how animals are awesome and he actually prefers them to humans.

It really isn't a surprise that Adams loves the animals because sometimes on the court he himself looks like an animal, and he has been a key to the Thunder's success this year.

He has played in 67 games this year averaging 13.9 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He is an all-around good player and the glue guy inside for the team. The only place he does struggle is at the free throw line averaging only 57 percent from the charity stripe.

The Thunder are going to need him to continue to play well down the stretch as they battle for playoff positioning. Right now the Thunder have a record of 43-30 which is good enough for 4th place in the Western Conference. They are only two games up on the Utah Jazz who sit in 8th place though so every game down the stretch is that much more important.
