Alabama is once again one of the most dominant teams in college football. However, they have a loss. And that loss has dropped them out of the College Football Playoffs at the moment.

That being said, not everyone agrees with that decision. Former Florida quarterback (and current analyst) Tim Tebow, believes Alabama deserves to be in the playoffs.

Okay, there's a lot to unpack here.

First of all, Tebow is right in saying the decision process is confusing. Based on the description, it's hard to tell how they are deciding who gets what spots sometimes.

Sure, Alabama lost, but it was to LSU – one of the best teams in the nation. Then again, it was a home game. So those are all factors you have to look at.

Meanwhile, Georgia has a loss as well. Their loss was also at home, and it was to South Carolina. They've also had four wins decided by a touchdown, or less. Alabama's smallest margin of victory is 19.

His point about not wanting another “Notre Dame vs. Clemson” doesn't make much sense though. Simply because of how last year played out.

Yes, Notre Dame lost 30-3 in the playoffs against Clemson. Alabama then lost to Clemson 44-16 in the Championship game though. The point is, anything can happen on any week. And Tebow assuming Alabama would hold their own better just because of what happened last year is insane.

Alabama legitimately lost by more points (28) than Notre Dame did. So giving Alabama the rub seems odd.

To this point, both Georgia and Alabama have made strong cases as to why they deserve to be in the College Football Playoffs. Tebow made some good points, but some confusing ones as well.

Hopefully, the decision will be made easier for him and the committee as the season winds down. We will find out if Tim Tebow is right soon.
