Minnesota Timberwolves rookie Anthony Edwards punched in one of the best highlights of his young NBA career so far against the Orlando Magic at Target Center on Wednesday.

Magic All-Star Nikola Vucevic had an up-close and personal look of the 2020 top pick's mad bounce during the closing minutes of the first quarter.

After receiving a pass near the top of the key, Edwards thought about taking a triple before making a strong drive to the paint. Seeing the 7-foot Montenegrin lurking in did not faze Edwards at all as he skied high for a right-handed hammer.

Vucevic didn't even bother jumping but still got caught on the receiving end of that vicious poster.

Anthony Edwards was picked first overall by the Timberwolves in the 2020 Draft following an impressive one-and-done season with the Georgia Bulldogs. However, he's been outshined by fellow lottery picks LaMelo Ball and James Wiseman at the beginning of the season.

The 19-year-old phenom certainly put his detractors on notice with that nasty jam.

Anthony Edwards is actually leading all rookies in scoring despite coming off the bench for the Timberwolves. He is tallying 12.5 points, along with 3.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in his first 12 games. The Wolves will certainly need more plays out of this from Edwards, as they try to improve on their poor 3-9 start.
