Charles Barkley is known for his honesty and the brutally sharp tongue that comes along with it. And now that the playoffs are on, Barkley is more critical of teams vying for that title. Recently, he lashed out on the Minnesota Timberwolves, calling them one of the “dumbest teams” he's seen in his life.

As posted by Bleacher Report, Barkley commented on the details of the matchup between the Timberwolves and the Houston Rockets. Barkley said, in part:

“Well, let me just tell this one thing about the Minnesota Timberwolves. They've got to be one of the dumbest teams I've ever seen in my life.

Because the Houston Rockets switch every pick and roll. There [are] mismatches all over the floor. They never take advantage of any mismatches.”

Below is the full video of the NBA great ranting away:

Though the Timberwolves are the eighth seed and nothing much is expected from them in the playoffs, Barkley still maintains his high standards. It doesn't matter if you're the eighth seed or the first seed. When your team is in the playoffs, you're not allowed to make mistakes. You're not allowed to be dumb.

The Timberwolves lost the game, 104-101. It's a loss but it might be a good enough sign that Minnesota can stand toe-to-toe with the Rockets — the best team in the NBA.

Perhaps in the next game, they should heed Barkley's advice. Who knows, maybe his observation is what's missing in the Timberwolves' defense. Maybe it'll even be enough to pull off an upset.
