Minnesota Timberwolves star Jimmy Butler crossed one of the goals off his bucket list by meeting Brazilian soccer hero Neymar Jr. after sporting his jersey during the FIFA Russia 2018 World Cup and a Paris Saint Germain jersey as it geared closer to his club's season in Ligue 1.

Neymar has been fond of basketball, attending many games in the U.S. during the offseason, but had never met Butler, who has recently been inspired to take up soccer as his offseason sport in the wake of the World Cup frenzy.

The two stars enjoyed a night together at the French capital, one Neymar immortalized on his Twitter account.

It wouldn't take long until Butler took to his favorite platform, Instagram, to return the love for the Brazilian star.

The NBA has gotten plenty of love from players of other leagues throughout time and is now forming more relationships through social media.

Stephen Curry and Lionel Messi exchanged signed jerseys a few seasons ago after declaring admiration for each other, and it wouldn't be surprising to see if Butler and Neymar got on a little friendly exchange after the Timberwolves star flew to Paris to meet his soccer idol for the first time.
