Karl-Anthony Towns and the Minnesota Timberwolves' struggles in the 2020-2021 NBA season continue as they dropped another heartbreaking loss against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday. It was the Wolves' game to lose as they were up by double-digits early in the final quarter when the Kings turned on their jets and went on a late run to steal the W.

After the loss, KAT wasn't throwing anyone else under the bus. Or better yet, he was throwing everyone under the bus – including himself.

“I'm going to look at the man in the mirror first,” Towns said after the 128-125 loss (via Jon Kwawczynski of The Athletic). “I have to do a better job of getting us to understand consistency. We all gotta do a better job including myself.”

Ironically, the only consistent thing about the Wolves' 2020-21 campaign has been their inconsistency. They've again found themselves in the bottom of the league as they currently carry the second-worst record in the NBA on their sleeves.

Minnesota has been on a tough journey this season with their stars not being able to get the reps in and really work on their chemistry. Towns has missed a total of 22 games this season after dealing with a wrist injury and going through a traumatic COVID-19 experience. His long-time buddy in D'Angelo Russell has also missed 30 games, while the addition of their lottery pick in Anthony Edwards has been a true roller coaster ride this season.

As Towns mentioned, it all starts and ends with him. He knows that he is the leader of this team and if he wants the Wolves to get in the win column, he has no choice but to step up to the challenge and put this team on his broad shoulders.
