The Minnesota Timberwolves are set for arguably their biggest game of the season on Friday, where they will have a win-or-go-home clash in Game 6 of their Western Conference first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies.

From Timberwolves forward Malik Beasley's standpoint, he believes that this series should not have reached Game 6 in the first place.

“We honestly think it should be 4-1 right now,” Beasley said on Thursday. “We should be resting, just like Golden State.

“We made some mistakes. We’re a young team. We got to learn from it and bounce back. We feel confident and we’re going to get (Friday’s game) and take one game at a time.”

As Beasley touched on, the Timberwolves have made “mistakes” over the course of this series. They had a golden opportunity to open up a 2-1 advantage in the series but ended up blowing a 26-point lead in Game 3. More so, they gave away a double-digit lead in Game 5 as they had no answer for the speedy Grizzlies during the fourth quarter.

From crucial turnovers to lengthy scoring droughts, Minnesota has had plenty of learning lessons in its first playoff series in the Anthony Edwards era.

The Timberwolves will look to fight another day on Friday, where they will have the chance to force and play in a Game 7 for the first time in 18 years.
