When you think of elite long-range gunners in the NBA, there are a few stars that come to mind. The first is obviously Golden State Warriors icon Stephen Curry. The second is probably Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard.

But is there an automatic third-placer that comes to mind after Curry and Lillard? Whether you like it or not, Anthony Edwards has been putting in his bid to be that third guy. The Minnesota Timberwolves rookie has been torching the nets ever since the NBA All-Star break.

Edwards knocked down the third-best percentage of pull-up triples in the NBA at 38.7% after the break. That puts him just a tenth of a percentage rate below Lillard and less than a couple of ticks off from the greatest shooter ever in Curry.

Coming out of college at Georgia, Anthony Edwards was considered to be a no-conscience scorer whose shot selection was rather questionable. But if the Timberwolves star can prove that he can actually make these long-range bombs off the dribble, then Timberwolves fans definitely have a gem on their hands.

Anthony Edwards is obviously not the shooter that Stephen Curry is. But if he can be mentioned in the same breath as him and Damian Lillard for a stat like this, he's obviously doing something right.
