The New Orleans Pelicans put on an early dunk show on Sunday in Minnesota, with Lonzo Ball and Zion Williamson connecting on a pair of alley-oops from beyond half court. But the Timberwolves also had something up their sleeve.
In the second quarter, Minnesota forward Jake Layman drove baseline and caught a body in the form of Pelicans forward Derrick Favors:

Layman's ridiculous poster not only got the fans excited, but also drew some hilarious bench reactions from his teammates. Just look at James Johnson, a man who has plenty of poster dunks to his name:

Layman only recently returned from a toe injury that forced him to miss nearly three months of action. He has played sparingly in his last seven games, though he did score 14 points in just over 17 minutes during Friday's loss to the Orlando Magic.
But Layman made quite the statement with this thunderous jam, and he is rounding into form. Layman had nine points in nine minutes with just under three to play in the first half, and he might be carving out a bigger role in the rotation moving forward.
