Video: Karl-Anthony Towns consistently taunts James Harden’s airballs
The Minnesota Timberwolves took advantage of their return home with a solid 121-105 victory over the Houston Rockets in Game 3. However, the most notable highlight of the night was a rather peculiar gesture from center Karl-Anthony Towns.
It goes without saying that guard James Harden has been the bane of the Timberwolves existence in the playoffs thus far. Fortunately, Minnesota managed to bottle him up on Saturday night.
Towns was also seen having a bit of fun with Harden’s miscues throughout the night, via House of Highlights:
Although he still managed to register 29 points on 9-of-21 shooting, it was still a far cry from his 44-point eruption in Game 1. Fortunately, Minnesota has managed to contain “The Beard” since then.
Meanwhile, Towns finally had something to be excited about after an abysmal start to the series. It was clear that the Timberwolves decided to put much more of an emphasis on getting him the ball this time around and it paid off. He finally recorded double-digits for the first time in the playoffs in the win with 18 points, 16 rebounds, and two blocks. More importantly, it seems he is finally starting to loosen up and relax in his first taste of the playoffs.
That said, it would still not be wise to stir up someone of Harden’s caliber when there is still plenty of basketball left to play. The projected MVP has struggled to find his rhythm on offense since his stellar Game 1 performance. However, it is likely only a matter of time before he finds his touch once again.
