The Tennessee Titans were handed a serious blow earlier this week with Derrick Henry undergoing foot surgery that will keep him out for most of the regular season. However, former running back Chris Johnson still believes the team can be Super Bowl contenders, with Henry or without. Via TMZ Sports:

“We got a good quarterback,” the ex-Titans star said. “We got two good receivers out there. So we should be all right.”

Tennessee just went out and signed veteran RB Adrian Peterson to come in and help out in the light of Henry's injury. Johnson believes that he will be very productive for them:

“Adrian's been able to show that he's been able to come in and can contribute to whatever team that he goes to,” Johnson said.

It remains to be seen if that will be the case. The Titans will definitely be worried though, considering Henry is easily the best running back in the league and the main piece to their offense. The whole dynamic will likely change for the time being. Ryan Tannehill will be throwing the ball a lot more and relying on the likes of AJ Brown and Jeremy McNichols to make plays downfield.

The Titans' first test without Henry is the 7-1 Los Angeles Rams, who they face this Sunday. Tennessee is 6-2 however and has won four straight.
