Tennessee Titans cornerback Logan Ryan has taken to Twitter to announce that he suffered a broken fibula in his team's win over the New York Giants on Sunday afternoon and will miss the remainder of the season.

Ryan had registered two tackles and a sack against the Giants before exiting.

On the season, Ryan totaled 76 tackles, four sacks and eight passes defended.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Rutgers University, was originally selected by the New England Patriots in the third round (83rd pick overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

He played in all 16 games during his rookie campaign, finishing with 47 tackles, 1.5 sacks, five interceptions, a forced fumble, 10 passes defended and a defensive touchdown.

Ryan went on to spend the first four years of his career with the Patriots, winning Super Bowls in 2014-15 and 2016-17.

He then signed a three-year, $30 million contract with the Titans in March 2017.

During his first year in Tennessee, Ryan accumulated 62 stops, a forced fumble and 11 passes defended.

With the win over New York, the Titans improved to 8-6 to keep pace in the AFC Wild Card race. The Baltimore Ravens currently hold the second and final Wild Card spot by way of tiebreakers (they are also 8-6).

Tennessee is aiming to make the playoffs in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2008.

The Titans will be at home for their final two games of the regular season, first hosting the Washington Redskins next weekend and then wrapping things up with the Indianapolis Colts—also in the Wild Card race at 8-6—on Dec. 30.
