According to an official statement released by the AFC South franchise on Monday afternoon, the Tennessee Titans have re-signed veteran safety Kenny Vaccaro. While the financial terms of the deal have yet to be released, early reports are indicating that Vaccaro will earn around $26 million over the course of the next four seasons.

As a result of the Titans' retention of the former New Orleans Saints defensive back, the team has also announced that it has parted with veteran safety Johnathan Cyprien, who has been informed of his release. Moreover, the Titans have also managed to re-sign reserve running back David Fluellen, who has agreed to a one-year contract.

It is no secret that Tennessee wanted to bring back Kenny Vaccaro this offseason after the seasoned NFL defender came in and made an impact for Tennessee last season.

“Kenny came in and played really good football for us,” Titans general manager Jon Robinson said at this year's NFL Scouting Combine, via the team's official website. “We are kind of working through several things now with him, with that position group as a whole. There’s some guys in free agency, Kenny being a primary target. We’ll kind of see how that… plays out.”

The Titans missed the postseason in 2018. It appears as though Tennessee will continue to be active this offseason in hopes of returning to the playoffs in 2019. Despite reaching the postseason only once since 2008-09, the Titans have now produced a 9-7 regular-season record in three consecutive seasons.
