The NBA is full of really good and fun teams to watch on a nightly basis. The majority of the league plays beautiful basketball. The league is full of space and pace and that makes for really fun basketball.

So say you're scrolling around NBA League Pass and you cannot decide who to watch. This list is the five teams that play the most fun brand of basketball on a nightly basis.

Number 5: The Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are led by Luka Doncic and he is the primary reason they are fun to watch. The Mavericks began the season slow, but they have turned it on post-All-Star Break and they are playing their best brand of basketball. Currently, the Mavs are 7th in the Western Conference with a 23-20 record and the improvement is likely to continue as the NBA season goes on.

The Mavericks play a style of basketball called heliocentrism around Luka Doncic. Doncic touches the ball on almost every play and he can be absolutely mesmerizing to watch. His understanding of hesitations and spatial awareness can make defenses tremble every time down the court. His ability to finish in tight spaces and hit difficult step-backs makes him an elite scorer. What adds to Doncic's offensive package is his playmaking for others. He finds roll-men, spot-up shooters, and cutters about as well as anyone in the NBA and that makes the Mavericks as potent as any offense in the league.

Luka Doncic is maybe the most fun individual player to watch in the whole league. His pick and roll operation and ball-handling are second-to-none and he puts on a show every night. There is always something interesting that Doncic is doing that makes for an excellent watch night in and night out.

Number 4: The Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers are many people's NBA championship favorites and for good reason. The league has hardly seen a wing duo like Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. Their two-way impact makes the game very difficult on opposing players. The Clippers have been one of the more consistent teams in the league throughout this season. They are 3rd in the Western Conference with a 30-16 record and the All-Star wing duo is the biggest reason for that.

Watching Kawhi Leonard work in the mid-range is a throwback to the 90s brand of basketball. He bullies opposing defenders and is seemingly unbothered by any contest. Paul George brings a contrasting modern flair though. He is one of the best three-point shooters in the league and he's also an elite slasher.

What can make this team really fun to watch for the more hardcore basketball fans is their defensive scheme. They run multiple different looks depending on the personnel on the floor and they really mix it up. Ivica Zubac at center leads to more drop coverage, Serge Ibaka runs a hedge scheme, and Marcus Morris allows them to switch. The Clippers are a fascinating team to watch on both ends of the court.

Number 3: The Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns have been one of the surprise teams of the year thus far and there are many reasons for that. They have worked their way up to 2nd in the Western Conference with a 30-14 record and they could potentially catch the Jazz for the first seed in the west. Devin Booker and Chris Paul were both deserving All-Stars this year and they're flanked by elite role players on the wings like Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, and Jae Crowder. With DeAndre Ayton and Dario Saric both being above average centers, the Suns have one of the most complete rosters in the NBA.

Monty Williams is one of the most underrated coaches in the league and his lineups are absolutely perfect. He has a great sense for how the rotation should be structures and he lets his players play to their strengths. Devin Booker has blossomed under Williams and he is one of the most dynamic three level scorers in the league. CP3's veteran savvy makes the team work on both ends and the Suns just work as a complete team.

What makes the Suns so fun is their togetherness as a team on both ends. Everyone plays unselfishly and it allows for elite comradery to be seen at all times. On offense, everyone is willing to make the extra pass and find the better shot. Defensively, everyone is smart with their rotations and they make the right decision almost every time down the floor.

Number 2: The Charlotte Hornets

The Charlotte Hornets were not really seen to be a playoff team coming into the year, but they're proving everyone wrong. The Hornets are 4th in the Eastern Conference standing with a 23-21 record and the odds of making the playoffs are definitely in their favor. Lead by Gordon Hayward, Terry Rozier, and LaMelo Ball, the Hornets are an explosive offense and an aggressive defense.

James Borrego has built a team that values pace, decision making, and good shots. The Hornets might be the best passing team in the NBA. Gordon Hayward, LaMelo Ball, Devontae Graham, and PJ Washington are all excellent passers for their position. They like to create havoc defensively and get out on the break.

LaMelo Ball has already become one of the most fun players to watch in the whole NBA. He is a top 5 passer in the league and he makes passes with such precision and vision that it makes fans rewind the game just to see how he did it. Add that to a team full of unselfish players and a lot of fastbreak dunks, the Hornets can put on an absolute show any given night.

Number 1: The Utah Jazz

The Utah Jazz have been the best team in basketball so far this season and the brand of basketball they play has been the reason for that. Much like the San Antonio Spurs of old, the Jazz play a team oriented brand of basketball. Their identity is based around making the extra pass and finding the open man. They shoot the most threes in the league and they tend to be open.

The Jazz base their offense around a spread pick and roll. Rudy Gobert and Derrick Favors are elite roll-men at the basket and they also make good decisions in the short roll. The Jazz like to make teams uncomfortable defensively and they use this t0 “put teams in the mix” as their commentary team refers to it. When teams have to scramble to prevent penetration or open looks from three, it makes for gorgeous offense that results in good shots.

The Jazz are not stacked with the most consistent high flyers or incredible playmakers like some teams listed above, but their team-oriented brand of basketball makes them the most fun team to watch. Hardcore basketball fans get a kick out of their intelligence as a team and overall offensive aptitude.
