UCLA football coach Chip Kelly has been rumored to be on the hot seat this season, but he isn't letting the whispers get to him.

Kelly's football team struggled this season, but rallied to top rival USC 38-20 before closing the season with a bad loss to Cal. Kelly said he's only focused on UCLA football, according to the Los Angeles Times:

‘”I don’t worry about that,” Kelly said after his team finished the regular season 7-5 overall and 4-5 in the Pac-12, leaving his record at the school at 34-34. “I don’t worry about that dynamic. I know this team’s 24-13 in the last three years, and they compete every single day, and I’m proud of every single kid in that locker room.

“I think they represent the school the right way. So we understand where we are and we understand that we have to win games, and I get that. That’s part of the deal. But I don’t think about those things. I don’t worry about those things. That’s never been my M.O.”'

New reports have Kelly potentially remaining on with UCLA football despite the rumors. It looks like the big win against USC did him a lot of good.

It was widely believed the embattled UCLA football coach was under scrutiny by the administration and would possibly be let go. It was especially so after the loss to Arizona State Nov. 11th, but the victory over rival USC a week later helped to buoy Kelly at UCLA, even after a devasting loss to Cal to end the regular season on Saturday.

Kelly signed a four-year extension to remain with UCLA football in January of last year.
