Jack Hermansson is hoping for a successful fight against Sean Strickland this weekend at UFC Vegas 47. The Swedish-Norwegian fighter is hoping to change up the middleweight title picture.
There have been a lot of rematches for the UFC middleweight title with current champion Israel Adesanya taking on Marvin Vettori and Robert Whittaker more than once. A rematch with Derek Brunson could also happen this year.
“You have a couple of guys that are fighting, and it’s going to be interesting to see how it goes, but I feel with a great win here, I’m putting myself next in line,” UFC middleweight Hermansson said (via MMA Junkie). “I do a good enough performance, you know, and then it depends on the other contenders. Brunson, Cannonier, how will they perform? Are they going to do an exciting fight or not? You know, we have had a lot of rematches just lately. Vettori against Adesanya. Now Whittaker against Adesanya. Do we want to see Brunson against Adesanya? I’m not sure. You know, I think people want to see Jack Hermansson and Adesanya.”

Jack Hermansson would help make for an interesting matchup as he is known for his grappling and slick submissions. A win at UFC Vegas 47 over Sean Strickland would certainly help him state his case.
UFC 271 is going to end up being the deciding factor as Israel Adesanya takes on Robert Whittaker to see who will be champion. Derek Brunson will also be fighting Jared Cannonier to see who can become the number one contender. Jack Hermansson will be hoping an impressive win puts him in the title picture.
