Former UFC champ-champ Daniel Cormier didn't hold back in addressing the biased commentary accusations being thrown at him.
UFC lightweight contender Justin Gaethje took a jab at UFC color commentator Daniel Cormier over the latter's commentary on the Islam Makhachev vs. Dan Hooker fight at the recent UFC 267 event. Aware that “DC” is a teammate of Makhachev, Gaehtje bluntly labeled Cormier's work as “incredibly biased.”
It didn't take long for Cormier to make his response and pointed out that it can't be called biased commentary if the fight is one-sided, strongly suggesting that it was the case in the Makhachev vs. Hooker fight.

“I think it’s absurd. I don’t agree at all,” he exclaimed.
Further backing his statement, Cormier stressed that prior to Makhachev, he had also called the fights of his other teammates such as Khabib Nurmagomedov and Luke Rockhold in the past. And during those fights, he is certain he had been “professional” and fair.
“I have called Khabib’s fights, Luke Rockhold, Deron Winn, Islam Makhachev, I’ve called all of their fights and I feel like I have done their opponents justice,” he insisted. “I go out of my way to make sure that we do their opponents justice. I’m a professional and for as much as I love my teammates, I understand the difference to separate myself from that.”
“Look man, if you’re not getting critiqued then you’re not doing a great job,” he continued.
