Lincoln Riley going from Oklahoma to USC sent shockwaves through the college football world. Riley's move has already meant big things on the recruiting front. First, Malachi Nelson, a five-star prospect from the 2023 recruiting class, decommitted from Oklahoma (along with a few others) and then committed to USC. The Sooners have now lost another blue-chip recruit to the Trojans.

This time it's five-star running back Raleek Brown, who's in the Class of 2022. The decision was made on Thursday.

Brown is from California and originally had USC as his No. 2 choice behind Oklahoma. The running back opened up on his decision to become a member of the Trojans, via 247Sports:

“Lincoln Riley, that’s my guy,” Brown said. “He and coach Simmons were the two guys that were recruiting me and now they’re both at USC. I was shocked he was leaving but then excited he was coming to USC.

“I’ve been up to USC a ton of times, since before I even got to high school and I’m super familiar with it there. I have a strong comfort level at the school and a lot of family nearby so it’s honestly a great situation for me.”

Brown is the No. 34 player on the 247Sports Composite list for 2022. He's the No. 2 player in California and the No. 2 running back overall.

This is a big-time get for Riley as he looks to get USC back to national relevance. While the Trojans haven't been bad since the Pete Carroll days, they aren't the powerhouse they once were.
