Find you a person who will blindly back you like Denver Broncos coach Vance Joseph does for quarterback Trevor Siemian.

Despite the Broncos being blanked on the scoreboard for the first time in roughly a billion years, while ignoring the obvious issues Denver has, the first-year coach is out here on this fine planet claiming Trevor Siemian is the right man for the job.

“Trevor is our guy…. We all have to do more to help the offense get better.” Vance Joseph said after being asked about the QB situation.

It is certainly worth noting that Joseph would also casually hurl his running game under the bus. You know, the one usual consistent thing that has kept the Denver franchise competent on that side of the ball for nearly a decade.

Of course, he isn't wrong. Denver's running game hasn't been as good as usual. At the same time, ignoring the obvious — Trevor Siemian isn't a great signal-caller — because you can find issue elsewhere is like blaming the rain for the snow not coming.

Does that not make sense? Of course it doesn't … and that is the point.

The Broncos have an all-world defense. They have had it for years at this point. C.J. Anderson has been a mostly stellar running back during this time, too. But hey, let's ignore all of that because Denver's backup QB choices are less than ideal.

Maybe, you know, if the front-office did a little more to fix the position in the offseason, Vance Joseph wouldn't have to be out here pretending a “fine” quarterback is a “good” one.
