Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo made headlines on Thursday after it was revealed how he allegedly asked to join opposing teams right in front of his teammates. Oladipo's own agent, Aaron Turner, was quick to deny such malicious claims, as he came to the defense of his embattled client.

In a recent interview, Turner vehemently denied the nasty rumor about Oladipo:

Oladipo has long been linked to a potential move away from Indiana, and this recent narrative only adds further fuel to the flame. If it were indeed true that Oladipo actually asked opposing players if he could join their team while he was in the presence of his teammates, then that would have been an absolute bum move. It would have been a clear indication of Oladipo's incessant desire to part ways with Indiana, and was an utter showing of disrespect to his own Pacer teammates.

Then again, if the rumors aren't true, then Oladipo is being unfairly chastised by the public here.

For what it's worth, Oladipo's current deal with the Pacers runs out at the end of the upcoming season. He's going to be a free agent next summer, so if the Pacers were indeed looking to trade him, now would be the best time to do it.

The two-time All-Star played just 19 games for the Pacers last term, averaging 14.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.9 assists, while also connecting on 1.7 triples per game. Victor Oladipo just hasn't been the same since that gruesome leg injury back in January of last year.
